Give your new finish the right start
Once your car has been wrapped, follow the installer and film manufacturer’s instructions about curing time and its first wash. Different films and finishes have different care requirements.
Wash gently and regularly
Remove bird droppings, road grime and insects promptly using suitable products. A gentle hand wash with appropriate automotive shampoo and clean wash media is often the safest choice. Avoid abrasive brushes and aggressive chemicals.
Be careful with pressure washers
High-pressure jets held close to panel edges can damage film. Use a safer distance, keep the spray directed away from edges and follow product guidance. Automatic brush washes can also mark some finishes.
Check edges and small damage
If you notice lifting film, a tear or a persistent stain, contact your installer rather than pulling at the material or attacking it with strong solvents. Early attention is usually simpler.
Plan for the long term
Exposure, storage, mileage, washing methods and film selection all influence lifespan. A wrap is a finish to care for, not a maintenance-free coating.
